Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Crowdpit (crowdpit.io) is a set of free browser games run by an independent developer. By opening the site, watching a game or taking part in one, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. How we handle data is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Crowdpit is free and needs no account. The games, their rules, their records and the site itself may change, pause or stop at any time without notice. We do not promise that the site will be available, bug-free or that any game record (a Wall of Legends entry, a body on the bridge, a block in the tower, an item chain, a pitch on the board) will be kept forever. Records may be reset when a game is rebalanced, when a season ends or when we need to.
2. Your name and what you type
To take the hot seat, chat, place a block or pitch an idea you choose a display name. You are responsible for that name and for anything you type into the games. Names and text are checked by an automatic filter and are visible to everyone in the pit. Choose a nickname rather than your real name, and do not include anyone else's personal information.
Do not use a name or write anything that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, discriminatory, that impersonates another person or brand, that advertises, or that is unlawful where you or we are. We decide what crosses the line.
By submitting a name or text you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store it and display it as part of the games and the site, including in leaderboards, chains, the suggestion board, and in screenshots, clips and other material that shows the games in use. You keep whatever rights you have in it. You can ask us to remove an entry at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how).
3. Fair play
The whole point is one person against a crowd of real people. So:
- no bots, scripts, macros or automated clients;
- no opening many connections to outweigh other players or flood a game;
- no exploiting bugs, tampering with the client or sending forged messages to the server;
- no probing, scanning, overloading or otherwise attacking the service;
- no scraping or bulk downloading of the site, its records or its API.
We may rate limit, mute, disconnect or block any player, connection or address at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe these terms are being broken or the games are being spoiled for others.
4. Moderation
Names and text go through a profanity filter. In chat, other players can report a line; a player reported by enough different people is muted for the rest of their session. We may also remove any name, note, pitch or record, and may act on reports or on our own initiative. Moderation is best effort. We cannot review everything in real time and we are not responsible for what other players write.
5. Streaming, clips and sharing
Crowdpit is made for streams. You are welcome to stream, record, clip and share your Crowdpit sessions on any platform, including channels that earn money, and to use the name Crowdpit and a link to crowdpit.io when you do. Please do not present the games as your own work, and do not use the Crowdpit name or look in a way that suggests we endorse you or your channel.
6. Ownership
The games, their code, artwork, names, text and design belong to the developer of Crowdpit and are protected by copyright and other laws. Apart from the permission to stream and share above, you may not copy, modify, rehost, redistribute or create derivative works from any part of the site without written permission. Names and text submitted by players belong to the players who submitted them, subject to the permission in section 2.
7. Other services
The site loads a font from Google Fonts and runs on a third-party host. Streaming platforms, chat apps and social networks you use alongside Crowdpit are run by others. Each of these has its own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Health notice
The games contain fast motion, flashing effects and bright colours. If you are sensitive to flashing lights or have a history of photosensitive seizures, take care or do not play. Stop immediately if you feel unwell.
9. No warranty
Crowdpit is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of any score or record.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Crowdpit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost data or lost game records, or for anything arising from the behaviour of other players, from your use of or inability to use the site, or from content on other platforms. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits rights that the mandatory law of your country gives you.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always at this address with the date at the top. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact
